There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.
We hold unwaveringly to our belief that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
Scripture is the primary lens through which we communicate and apply Biblical truths with sensitivity to cultural dynamics and norms, and social trends.
Our Community Services Ministry is navigating the complexities of COVID and the ever-changing protocols. We are slowly reengaging with our community in person, however, this is a process. Please contact us if you need support for basic necessities.
Love is the way we demonstrate God's heart to one another. We value the image of God in all men, women, and children acting with compassion toward the oppressed, the marginalized, and the voiceless.
We devote ourselves to the Bible's deep convictions around matters of "esteeming others above ourselves". Our heart for our fellow man continues and expands today, fueled by God's holy love for people of all races and ethnicities.

Reverend John H. Thomas, Founder
Christ Centered Missionary Baptist Church
The Holy Spirit moved upon the heart of Reverend John Thomas with a vision to plant a church in Hayward, CA. Eight individuals with strong desires and commitment, including remaining charter members, Sisters Mary Ann Dueberry and Gloria Gilbert, were united in this effort. The name, Christ Centered Missionary Baptist Church, taken from Philippians 3:13-14, was submitted by Sister Kay Thomas. The Church Motto, “Where There Is No Vision, The People Perish”, was taken from Proverbs 29:18. Early 1988 the Constitution and By-Laws were drafted and adopted. Elder and Sister Horton of New Bethel Church of God In Christ opened their hearts and doors to Christ Centered as its place of worship.
The first worship service was held on Mother’s Day, May 8, 1988 at 8:00AM.
